After launching as a small start-up in 2011, DesignMyNight (part of The Access Group) has become a nationally recognised brand, and is one of the leading hospitality discovery platforms in the UK, Ireland and Australia. From the very best restaurants to quirky date night ideas and bottomless brunches, we’ll help you find exactly what you need, whether it’s in one of our many SEO-driven roundup articles or through our table search engine

Last July, we proudly took home the award for In-House Content Team of the Year. It meant so much to all the team to be recognised for their creative, organic approach to delivering content, as well as their support for users and the hospitality industry during the tumultuous times of lockdown.

We’ve entered again so that we can shout about our recent low-cost, organic content strategies, including our brand awareness-led regional expansion which saw traffic increase by an average of 41% across our sites for Bristol, Edinburgh, Liverpool and more. But we didn’t stop at the UK, also increasing traffic to our Australian site in 2023 by an average of 83% (including 130% for Brisbane alone).

We create all content in-house, ensuring strong quality and SEO best practices are shared and used effectively within our content team. Our article on the best new restaurants in Manchester, a fantastic, expertise-led piece on the hottest openings to watch out for, was only published a few months ago and is already ranking #1 on Google.

Not only that, but we’re also keeping our finger on the pulse, celebrating consumer trends across website, social and PR – noticed that there’s a love of all things cowboy at the moment? We created a piece to support searches for cowboy events (ranking #1 on Google). And, of course, for all you Swifties out there, we have an article for the best Taylor Swift events in London – also ranking #1.

So why did we enter the UK Content Awards? It’s not just that we want to defend our title of In-House Content Team of the Year (although there’s that too) – we also want to celebrate our incredible work and organic strategies with this recognised marker for great content. Each and every one of us is passionate about what we do and strives to get results; across a selection of just 15 pieces of new content published on the site in early 2024, we’ve already generated over 50,000 visits – which is expected to be over 157,000 by the end of the year – and we believe this is something worth shouting about.
